Over the years, “Better Call Saul” has become the soul mate of “Breaking Bad”. This is mainly due to morally ambiguous characters like Kim Wexler. Fans took to Reddit with their own ghoulish theories about Kim’s character ending.
One of the main strengths of a well-written series is that the moral compass of most of the characters remains a very lopsided concept. Kim Wexler, on ‘Better Call Saul,’ started off well, but as the series progressed we observed that her sense of morality slowly derailed. She hit such a low bar that fans are actually wondering if she would be able to bring her to life in the show’s sixth season. Some Reddit fans take part in it, theorizing about all the ways it could say goodbye to the world of “Better Call Soul”. Some fans have even gone so far as to associate his impending death with the most gruesome event that happened on “Breaking Bad”.

While fans’ hatred for the character is evident, many fans somehow defend her actions and place her in a “gray area.” Throughout the series, she has been maintained as a morally upright character who served as Jimmy McGill’s moral compass, to save him from drowning in the world of madness and crime. But in the fifth season, fans saw a completely different face of his character. As we already know, the sixth season of ‘Better Call Saul’ will premiere in early 2022 and there is a huge possibility that the character will experience a sad demise.
Kim Wexler’s Worst Case Scenario in “Better Call Saul”
As the world waits for more episodes of ‘Better Call Saul’, some people on Reddit are far too impatient to sit for several months to see what happens to Kim Wexler. A Redditor has concocted an interesting theory about Kim’s fate. We saw this crash of Flight 515 in Season 2 of “Breaking Bad”, the debris of which fell on Walter’s pool. According to the Redditor, Kim could be sitting on the plane, about to surprise Jimmy. There were more Redditors who sort of accepted this theory. It was developed with creator Vince Gilligan’s interests in mind to tie the two series together in the most tragic way.
Bob Odenkirk, who played Saul Goodman / Jimmy McGill on the series, spoke to “The Hollywood Reporter” in an interview, discussing the deaths of the characters in season 6 of “Better Call Saul”. However, he didn’t give a very specific answer and was left vague when he said that it’s easy to assume a character dies when he doesn’t show up regularly. According to him, anything could be the case with any character in the series.
Kim Wexler ends with “Better Call Saul”
While he was hesitant to reveal what could be the end of the series to his fans, he mentioned something that made fans think. He said co-creator Peter Gould told him that by the end of “Better Call Saul” people would start to see “Breaking Bad” in a whole different light. He declined to explain the statement further and said that only the creators know what they think and how the end will be reached. However, he eventually added that people can expect incredible things from “Better Call Saul” as the series moves further away from “Breaking Bad” territory.
